I rarely make personal posts.
This is one.
When I write it follows a stereotypical pattern;
1) I have an idea,
2) I obsess about the idea,
2.1) I re-read all the scientific literature I can to be sure that the idea is original,
1-2 often take years, and always take months.
3) I write for days and weeks,
4) I write for days and weeks,
5) I quit when I am personally satisfied,
That is it really. I don't really care about publishing.
